University of Arizona High School Honor Choir Festival
Get ready for an unforgettable musical journey at the University of Arizona High School Honor Choir (UAHSHC) on October 25-26, 2024! Join us on the beautiful UA campus for two days filled with meaningful musical moments, connections with fellow singers, and a spectacular performance! Honor choir activities will be held from 8:00 am through 5:15 pm on Friday and culminate with a concert at 2:00 pm on Saturday on the beautiful U of A campus. University of Arizona High School Honor Choir Festival Concert
This concert is the culmination of the 2024 University of Arizona High School Honor Choir weekend, and features performances by the Honor Choir and University Singers under the direction of Dr. M. Nicole Davis and Symphonic Choir under the direction of Dr. Elizabeth Schauer, as well as solo performances by exceptional high school and University of Arizona vocalists.

Stone Soup: A Musical Feast
University of Arizona Symphonic Choir, conducted by Dr. Elizabeth Schauer, combines with choirs under the direction of Dr. Sinamar Pascua Respicio, including Academy of Tucson High School Advanced Women’s Choir and Alumni, Tucson Women’s Chorus and the Chancel Choir of Christ Church United Methodist. The choirs will present a diverse and entertaining program of classical, folk and popular music, and will conclude with a combined performance of “Crowded Table” by The Highwaywomen. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, diapers or pet food for the Christ Church Food Bank.

Treble Glee and University Singers join forces for this dynamic and varied program. University Singers is under the direction of Dr. M. Nicole Davis and assistant director Clay Whittington, and Treble Glee is under the direction of Meg Palermo and assistant director Xinke Shen.

University Community Chorus
Dr. M. Nicole Davis leads the University Community Chorus in their opening concert of the 2024-2025 season. The performance will be a musical exploration of “The Riddle of the Sphinx” from Greek mythology and will feature the work Imaginary Creatures by Andrea Ramsey.

Collegium Musicum (Dr. Jeff Vanderlee, conductor) and Arizona Baroque (Olman Alfaro Portuguez, director) team up for an evening of choral and instrumental treasures including Marianna Martines’s opulent “Miserere” in the beautiful sanctuary of St. Philip’s in the Hills Episcopal Church. University of Arizona’s annual gift to the Tucson community, these performances, presented for the first time in their new home – St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church – feature audience sing-alongs as well as seasonal music performed by UA Symphonic Choir, Tucson Girls Chorus, University Community Chorus, Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus and University Singers. Get your tickets early for this popular Tucson tradition. A limited number of free vouchers are also available. Tickets on sale beginning September 1. Symphonic Choir and The Helios Ensemble
Symphonic Choir and The Helios Ensemble
For this first-ever collaboration, The Helios Ensemble (Dr. Ben Hansen, conductor) and Symphonic Choir (Dr. Elizabeth Schauer, conductor) will combine to perform the majestic double-choir music of Mexican composer Antonio de Salazar and Italian composer Raffaella Aleotti. In addition, The Helios Ensemble will present a program of works from around the globe, and Symphonic Choir will perform James Whitbourn’s mystical Son of God Mass for choir, organ and soprano saxophone.
